Founder & Artistic Director

Rowena Bright  is the Founder and Artistic Director of The Intelligencia, guiding the gallery’s aesthetic vision, philosophical orientation, and cultural ethos.
An artist working across mural-scale fresco, lime plaster, oil paintings and masonry. Her practice explores creation as remembrance - engaging beauty as a form of intelligence that precedes words and transcends era.
Through The Intelligencia, Rowena extends her practice beyond the individual work into a curatorial and architectural vision—she shapes a living institution devoted to the stewardship of artists and the preservation of beauty as a birthright.

Gallery Director & Curatorial Lead

The Intelligencia is stewarded by XX, A visionary overseeing exhibitions, artist representation, and all curatorial and sales affairs.
XX holds a fine arts degree from Middlebury, where her studies emphasized both visual literacy and disciplined critical thought. Prior to her work in the art world, XX competed as a member of the U.S. Ski Team—a journey that shaped her dedication to excellence, precision, and long-term stewardship.
She brings to The Intelligencia a rare balance of aesthetic intelligence, and an intuitive understanding of legacy.  Her leadership is grounded in discernment and organizational clarity. XX has a deep respect for the creative process—serving artists and clients with integrity while guiding The Intelligencia with quiet authority and vibrant vision.
